I am starting development for this set. It is a very long game, so I expect it to take quite a while. Here's a quick outline of what I have planned so far:
Story achievements
- unknown quantity
- unknown exactly which events will be associated to achievements.
- want to try to break it up into 1-2 hour chunks
Job system
- master each of the 7 intermediate classes
- master each of the 3 advanced classes
- master each of the 8 advanced monster classes.
- possibly an achievement for earning a hybrid class skill (if it doesn't overlap with the intermediate classes - more research needed).
Immigrant City
- one for reaching any of the four unique final forms of the city
- maybe one for finding all of the available immigrants
Monster Park
- one for finding all of the blueprints
- unknown quantity for collecting certain groups of monsters or collecting certain numbers of monsters.
- unsure if I want to force collecting all of them, but there is a reward for that.
Big Book of Beasts
- one for adding an entry for all monsters in the book - only requires fighting each type of monster - I'm not going to make you farm each monster to fill in the 'item' field for all of them.
- unknown quantity for collecting certain numbers of entries.
- I think I can use the related data to have an achievement for defeating 1000 monsters throughout the game.
Tiny Medals
- as several of these are missable and each final form of the immigrant town has one, I'm not going to require collecting all 118. Instead, I'll have tiers tied to rewards from the Medal King.
Style Rankings
- one for winning each category
Bonus Dungeons
- one for defeating the boss of each
Other
- defeat a MetalKing
- purchase expensive items from the Casino (will probably limit it to the Metal King Helm)
- find unique or hidden items (to be determined)
- puff-puff
I haven't played this game since it first came out, mostly due to its length. I expect to come up with a few more ideas as I go.

I'm still working on this set. I'm about 80% of the way through disc 1. Roughly 50 hours of in game time, close to twice that for total development time.

Story Achievements (Green borders)
Since the plan wasn't sure which events would have achievements, these are basically placeholders. I'd make ones for the story achievements in the final set.

Immigrant Town (Brown border)
- Reached any of the town's final stages
- Got every resident

Big Book of Beasts (Dark yellow border)
The plan said there'd be an achievement for completing the book, and others for a certain amount of entries, so I divided it up into three tiers like the class system icons. I'll happily modify/make more as the achievements are finalized. Also, I put the 1000 monsters defeated icon into the 'Other' section.

Tiny Medals (Bright yellow border)
I didn't know which tiers would give an achievement, so I made an icon for every amount of medals that gives a prize. Won't post them all right now, but I'll post the ones that are needed once we know the achievement list. Here's the general idea, though!

Rankings (Purple border)
- Wisdom
- Style
- Power
Bonus Dungeons (Green borders?)
Didn't create any icons for these, since I thought it'd make sense for these to have the green borders of story progression achievements.

I appreciate the offer to help, but I already have badges for most of the achievements that are ready (48/61). A lot of the ones that are missing will likely be a single image with counters - like the small medal turn-ins, as there aren't in-game images for the rewards.
I prefer to use in-game art with small augmentations (like the stars or numbers you've used) - see ,

I don't like the colored borders because most of them will be indistinguishable until they've been earned (they will look similar in greyscale). A better solution is to add an icon in one of the corners. Several sets on the site already do something along those lines, though the iconography isn't 100% consistent. I prefer to keep the badges as clean as possible, and just group them by type when ordering them.

No worries! Just wanted to throw it out there. I looked through the sets you linked, and I’ll keep your tips in mind if I ever make icons in the future! The greyscale making the borders a bad idea makes sense, that didn’t really occur to me.

Set is up.
Due to the fact that every advanced monster class requires at least one dropped heart or lucky panel prize to achieve, I've opted to have a single achievement for mastering any single advanced monster class. The PlatKing heart (110 tiny medals) will probably be the easiest to access.
I struggled whether or not to have an achievement for completing the Monster Book. All of the monsters can be found using and end-game save, except Cerabus (at least I couldn't find him anywhere). In the end I decided to stop at 200 entries. While there is an in-game reward for completing the book, I felt that stopping at 200 entries would be sufficient for most players, and can be accomplished without having to access both bonus dungeons. A full book (and individual advanced monster class masteries) would be good candidates for a bonus set.
I've also decided to limit the monster park achievements to collecting 50 total monsters. There's ~200 eligible monsters, but some are hard enough to find that forcing the player to farm them enough to capture them seemed overly tedious. Finding all monsters for each region of the monster park would be another idea for the bonus set.
I decided not to have any Casino-related achievements. They're luck-based, and the player has to minimally participate in them to earn other achievements.
The number of hidden/secret items was surprisingly low. Similarly, most dungeons only have a handful of chests, so there wasn't really much opportunity for having 'fully explore' achievements.
I did expand the 'defeat a MetalKing' achievement to also have achievements for a basic Metaly, and a Metabble, and added an extra achievement for the World Ranking Federation for having a single character win all three competitions.
I've marked as missable. (see note below). I don't believe any of the other achievements are permanently missable. I apologize if I'm incorrect in that statement. The sidequests are listed amongst the progression achievements where I completed them.

In my personal experience, the easiest heart to farm was from BoltRat.
Just adding here because you can put a hint for it.

I've marked as missable. There's three chests that can only be collected when the water has been drained from the cave, which only happens during the related part of the story. You can revisit the cave post-game and collect the other 17, but you only get the one chance to get those three. The good news is that they're pretty hard to miss.
